The history of the nfl playoffs is littered with unpleasant competitions, but the victors of an adequate amount of those competitions frequently make it to the Super Bowl. But in 2011, both the AFC and National Football Conference division championships were won by good squads competing unpleasant competitions against underdogs that nearly beat them. Bears Defy Probabilities and Continue to Improve

With the Chicago Bears arriving off of a difficult loss to the Green Bay Packers this past weekend, the Chicago squad is looking to the longer term. Even with the 21-14 loss versus their archrivals from Wisconsin, the Chicago Bears would like to lock in Lovie Smith as head coach and resume his deal, along with a lot of his team.
